The course Certificate III In Individual Support (Superseded) enhances the role of workers in the community and / or residential setting who follow an individualised plan to provide person-centred support to people who may require support due to ageing, disability or some other reason.
The individuals work involves using discretion and judgement in relation to individual support as well as taking responsibility for their own outputs.
The individuals have a range of factual, technical and procedural knowledge, as well as some theoretical knowledge of the concepts and practices required to provide person- centred support.
PRE-REQUISITE REQUIREMENTSThere are no pre-requisite requirement for this qualification as per course training package.

Assessments may include written questions, demonstration of tasks/techniques, group activities, in class activities, role play, presentation, work based project, research projects, and workplace observations/evidences.
A candidate is only entitled for the Certificate, once they have successfully completed all units of the course – Certificate III In Individual Support
On the other hand, candidates who have done a partial completion of the course will receive a Statement of Attainment, for the units they are deemed competent.
RECOGNITION OF PRIOR LEARNING RPL/ CREDIT TRANSFER: –
ISMT College recognises qualifications issued by other RTOs. At the same time, accept and mutually recognise the qualifications and Statements of Attainment, awarded by any other registered training organisation unless precluded by licensing requirements.
We also consider and grant Credit Transfer for subjects or units you have completed where equivalence can be established between the unit in your course, and the subject or unit you have completed.
Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) is a process wherein candidates’ skills and knowledge that has been gained through work and life experience and other unrecognised training will be formally recognised.
ISMT College will discuss with the candidate the process and options for RPL, during the entry process and interview stage. The suitability of the candidate is often determined on how much experience one had in certain area, their work history and previous training.
If RPL is determined that as a candidate you have a possibility. Then you will be provided with a kit, that will guide you in working through each unit, to determine relevant skills and experience and identify whether you would be able to provide the required evidence.
UNIQUE STUDENT IDENTIFIER (USI) REQUIREMENT: –
It has been made mandatory for all students studying VET coursed in Australia to use a USI.
The USI is available online & free of cost to the student. The USI will stay with the student for life and be recorded with any nationally recognised VET course that is completed.

A USI can only be created after you have arrived in Australia and information on how to do this will be included in your orientation.

ORIENTATION: –
ISMT College provides orientation to assist students through culturally appropriate program. Candidates will only be permitted to attend classes after they have completed the orientation session for the enrolled courses.
This qualification requires that the learner complete a total of at least 120 hours of work placement in an aged care, home and community care, disability care or community service organisation in Australia.
After completing CHC33015 Certificate III in Individual Support you may progress to CHC52015 – Diploma of Community Services.
