This qualification reflects the role of individuals in a variety of information and communications technology (ICT) roles who have significant experience in specialist technical skills, or managerial business and people management skills.
Individuals in these roles carry out complex tasks in a specialist field, working independently, leading a team or a strategic direction of a business. They apply their skills across a wide range of industries and business functions, or as a business owner (sole trader/contractor).
This course is designed for those individuals who have wish to contribute to various roles in the field of Information and Communications Technology (ICT) and build significant experience in Specialist Technical Skills, Managerial Business and People Management Skills.
On gaining knowledge, an individual can carry out complex tasks in specialist fields by working independently, leading a team or giving a strategic direction for the betterment and progress of any business.
Their knowledge can be used across wide range of industries and business frameworks or as business owner itself.

Students will be awarded the certificate of ICT60220 – Advanced Diploma of Information Technology on completion of all units of the course.
Candidate who partially complete the course requirements will receive a “Statement of Attainment” for the units deemed competent by the candidate.
RECOGNITION OF PRIOR LEARNING RPL/ CREDIT TRANSFER
Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) is a process where skills and knowledge that you have gained through work and life experience and other unrecognised training can be formally recognised.
ISMT College will discuss with the candidate the process and the options for RPL, during the entry process and interview stage. The suitability of the candidate is often determined on how much experience one had in certain areas, their work history and previous training.
If RPL is determined that as a candidate you have a possibility, then you will be provided with a kit that will guide you in working through each unit to determine relevant skills and experience and identify whether you would be able to provide the required evidence.
UNIQUE STUDENT IDENTIFIER (USI) REQUIREMENTIt has been made mandatory for all students studying VET coursed in Australia to use a USI.
The USI is available online and free of cost to the student. The USI will stay with the student for life and be recorded with any nationally recognised VET course that is completed.
